<<HAITI EXHIBIT AT F.A.U>>

Thank you for the good time and a Kremas! last Saturday at your wonderful bookstore and Cultural Center.  It was a pleasure meeting you and seeing Marc-Arthur Jean-Louis again.  My friend Jean-Philippe and I were truly impressed with Libreri Mapou.  I have "bookmarked" your Website, so that I can keep informed in what's happening in the community.  I am very interested in learning more about the Haitian Book section of the African American Center in Broward County Library that you told about.  I am beginning to ask myself about the possibility of a Haitian Studies program here As a librarian here at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, I am working on a Haiti exhibit.  This exhibit will run for the months of May, June and July.  Some of the Haitian students here at FAU are helping me with this exhibit.
We hope to schedule special events relating to Haiti as well.  We will have a Haitian dance and musical event and we plan to invite Edwidge Danticat. FAU has a growing Haitian student population.  The Haitian students are the second largest non-U.S.-born population here at FAU!
I am sure we will have a great exhibit; one that will present Haiti and its
culture in all its beauty and mystery.
